THEY TALK ABOUT US

Because brokerage is above all a story of men and women, we went to meet our partner brokers. Every day, we work with them to improve risk coverage and customer satisfaction. And at MMA, we make it a point of honour to do this in an authentic and friendly way.

To tell us about the richness of this human and business adventure, our partners took the floor and agreed to tell us their stories.

« I've been a broker for 6 years now, and I'm very satisfied with our collaboration with MMA, and particularly with the trust shown on a daily basis.
I would also like to highlight the way in which the group has managed the health crisis we are currently experiencing. Well done and thank you ! »

BESSÉ

« Our relationship with MMA Courtage goes back a long way and has always been excellent. They have continued to strengthen since the tougher market conditions that have seen a return to technical fundamentals. In this complex environment, made worse by the health crisis, we appreciate even more the availability, ability to listen and professionalism of the teams, both in the regions and at head office. Management is also at the heart of the business, so decisions are taken quickly and efficiently, which is even more of a decisive advantage today than it was in the past.
It's these shared values that enable us to work together to develop tailor-made solutions to meet our customers' needs! »

For which service were you able to benefit from MMA's expertise? What do you remember about it ?
« It was more than 18 years ago that I first met Mr Jeanne, an MMA inspector who knew how to talk to me, listen to the desires of a young employee and, above all, knew how to place himself at the level I was at the time. Trust, training and mutual respect went a long way to developing a partnership that has never stopped, following the natural course of events. »

How do you work closely with the MMA team on a day-to-day basis ?
« As a result of this relationship, a great many meetings have taken place, involving both socialising and working together. Over time, this closeness has enabled us to build trust both at the time and over time. The fact that we know the whole team, the needs and desires of everyone, saves precious time and further develops the win-win relationship. »

Why did you choose MMA ?
« Cause and effect : my experience with MMA meant that it seemed natural, when it came to developing my firm's customer base, to involve those who had made it possible. So, when the time came to set up an international programme, I turned to teams that I knew and who knew their stuff. The project was completed quickly and was a win-win situation. »

How would you describe your experience with MMA ?
« Constructive and friendly »

What do you think sets MMA apart from other property and casualty insurers ?
« MMA has the ability to work over a long period of time and to warn us of future developments. We can anticipate, which avoids unpleasant surprises. This is a critical point for a broker. At MMA, we find a great unity of opinion, no matter who we talk to. We appreciate that.
MMA's crisis management is remarkable. Whether in relation to customers or intermediaries, the insurer has shown attentiveness, empathy and sincere solidarity.  »

How do you work closely with the MMA team on a day-to-day basis ?
« Our managers have an ability to talk to each other and ‘say things’. This can be found at all levels of the company, enabling us to build long-term partnerships. That's a plus for our customers. »

Frédéric GRAND, DIOT LSN Surgery

What do you particularly like about MMA?

« What I appreciate most is the proximity and the fact of having a regional delegation.
At MMA, we feel like we exist. We're not just a code broker, we know the people we deal with.
Our inspector, Éric Beausir, is the cornerstone of this relationship. He knows our business and the issues we face. Unlike other companies, we work with teams that we know and with whom we have built up a relationship of trust.
You have the advantages and the strength of a ‘big group’ with a local service. »

Why would you recommend MMA to your customers?

« In these difficult and unprecedented times, MMA was one of the few companies to take swift and significant action to help businesses in difficulty. I think that many customers will remember this.
You did this discreetly, without any media fuss, unlike some bancassurance companies and others... Your image has been enhanced by this... »

« The company (supplier)/partner (distributor) relationship is now the key to customer satisfaction. With MMA, we find a partner who listens, who is attentive to the broker and the customer.  We have the feeling of being in partnership.
We encounter difficulties, disagreements and malfunctions, and sometimes we create the problems ourselves: at MMA we find people who are mobilised to work together to find the solutions we need to satisfy our customers.
MMA has also demonstrated its empathy by helping the businesses hardest hit by the health crisis.
I know I can count on MMA, and I'm quite comfortable offering MMA to my customers. »

Courtiers Conseils Unis Group

What do you think sets MMA apart from other property and casualty insurers?
« In 2021, our teams appreciate having underwriters and writers who are competent and capable of adapting offers to our specific requirements in order to cover our customers' risks as effectively as possible. While some of them have been with us for more than 20 years, other MMA employees with whom we have worked for one or two years share the same values, which is the basis of a trusting and effective relationship. Thank you to all the MMA teams for this fine state of mind, symbolised by our inspector Isabelle CAPON and supported by Regional Director Eric OHRESSER. »

If you had to recommend one (proven) MMA service or solution, what would it be?
« I was very impressed by MMA's ability to support us in setting up an international programme with which we are beginning to cover all the subsidiaries of one of our customers, from China to California, via the United Arab Emirates, Russia and Europe. This ability is all the more remarkable given that the other major domestic insurers, which have subsidiaries in the main markets, are unable to offer this service outside the borders of the EU. »

What memory/example stands out most in your partnership with our teams?
« I remember a very special situation, at the start of the COVID pandemic in March 2020, when I strongly recommended to one of our clients that they take out cumulative cover for their multi-risk programme. For this client (with a turnover of over €300 million), whose business is highly regulated, we had in fact negotiated a 6-month administrative closure guarantee covering administrative closures, and we anticipated, in view of the commitments made by the holding company, that the latter would terminate the contract during the year due to a claim, in order to cut its exposure. The MMA teams, who like us were not used to underwriting cumulative policies, clearly understood that by proceeding in this way, we were acting at the start of a global and systemic phenomenon, the outcome of which no one could and still cannot measure, in order to protect our client's interests as best we could from a hazard concerning the replacement of his programme at short notice. The contingency did indeed materialise, and the measure we had recommended made it possible to manage the circumstances with complete peace of mind. The transparency, trust and expertise shared on a day-to-day basis between a broker and a company are crucial at times like these. »

For which service were you able to benefit from MMA's expertise? What do you remember about it?
« We asked the prevention department to assist a client operating a 24,000 m2 shopping centre, whose installation had failed.
The technical expertise of the MMA engineer enabled us to draw up an effective risk prevention plan, which enabled our client to bring his site back into compliance. »

MARSH

What do you particularly like about MMA?

« MMA communicates regularly and transparently with its broker partners, so MMA's strategy is very clear to me, as is its appetite for underwriting.
The performance of the information system enables us to measure our joint results and thus guide our collective development.
Communication and relations between our teams are generally fluid, and when this is not the case, we talk about it and quickly find solutions to remedy the situation. »

Valentine Studer, MARSH

Travelers Insurance

« MMA was a great partner and provided top notch claims servicing on a large complex claim for a location in France where the damages exceeded $10M (USD). MMA’s capabilities in claims handling and servicing assisted our customer in getting back in business quickly following what could have been a devasting event. MMA kept us fully informed, engaged the right claims resources, and worked closely with the customer throughout the recovery process. »

Anthony GIANNONE, Travelers Insurance

Verlingue

How would you describe your experience with MMA?

« The experience with MMA is above all a personal one. The human relationship is at the heart of the discussions, followed by the technical discussions, which are clear, anticipated and held in an atmosphere of partnership (in the true sense of the word). Trust is the key. »

What do you particularly like about MMA?

« Speed of decision and clarity of expectations (technical and commercial). This is particularly key in these ‘hard market’ times. It gives the feeling that the customer's sense of purpose is shared. »

How do you work closely with the MMA team on a day-to-day basis?

« In the simplest terms (excluding, of course, covid, which disrupts all our relationships): rapid decision-making: no long, disempowering referrals.
Concise guidance very early in the year: this allows us to anticipate for our customers. In short, a clear policy at the service of pragmatism. »
